That's because most plated jewelry isn't truly waterproof. It's water-resistant.
We choose to be clear from the beginning. Our protective coating is designed to handle sweat, light splashes, and everyday wear—and it does this well. Over time, however, frequent exposure to chlorinated or salt water, especially as the surface naturally wears, can allow moisture to reach the metal beneath.
This isn't a flaw in craftsmanship. It's simply the nature of the material. And because we work with real precious metals, this isn't the end of your piece. It can often be cleaned, re-polished, or refinished, ready to be worn again.

Caring for Your Jewelry
Your jewelry is designed to live with you—not to create extra work. There's no need for complicated routines. Simply:
- Put your jewelry on after perfume and lotion.
- Avoid harsh chemicals.
- After the beach, pool, or heavy perspiration, rinse with fresh water and gently dry with a soft cloth.
- Store each piece separately in its pouch to help prevent scratches and tangling.
Thanks to its protective coating, there's no need for polishing chemicals. In fact, they can gradually wear down the very layer designed to protect your jewelry.
A gentle wipe with the soft cloth included with your purchase is usually all that's needed.
