Some journeys begin quietly. Some are born from a need so personal that only a few will truly understand it.

Ours began long before there was a name, long before Touch of Yoga existed. From a small point of pain that slowly opened into something larger, deeper, and profoundly human.

Sometimes, what breaks us is also what brings us home.

It started not with a business plan, but with a personal ache. Long before the name Touch of Yoga existed, there was Syfon-known to us as Poppy.

By 2007, she was navigating the high stakes world of an international bank in Thailand, a life defined by relentless pressure that wore on both body and spirit. It was here, in the space between stress and survival, that she found yoga. Or perhaps, yoga found her. It became her sanctuary, a practice that nurtured not just her body, but, more importantly, her mind and soul. It was a return to essence.

Yet, as she delved deeper, Poppy noticed a troubling drift: yoga, once a sacred path to inner peace, was being reduced to mere physical exercise, а "workout" rather than a "work-in.". The *essence*-that soulful grounding, the emotional touch seemed lost in the noise of commercialization.

"We have forgotten that yoga is not about how deep you can bend, but how much you can feel.
It is not a destination for the body, but a journey back to the soul."

The Search for a Tangible Meaning

Through all of this, Poppy sought a way to carry this newfound peace with her. Something to wear close to her body. Something that reflected who she had become. Something that carried meaning, stillness, and intention. Something she could touch and feel connected to. Poppy began searching for a piece of jewelry that could serve as a physical anchor for her practice-a "Real" connection she could carry with her. The market offered plenty of jewelry, but almost nothing that carried meaning deeply enough to stay.

She asked herself: Why isn't there jewelry that reflects the true essence of our journey? Why can't we wear something that feels as authentic as the path we walk?

"I wasn't just looking for jewelry to wear. I was searching for an object of intention-a touchstone for a feeling I couldn't let go of."

The search for a like-minded heart

Determined to fill this void, Poppy embarked on a thoughtful quest. She began imagining jewelry that honored yoga's true spirit pieces that could live close to the skin, travel with the wearer, and quietly remind them of what matters.

This wasn't about trends or profits; it was about restoring what had been lost in our hurried lives: the tactile joy of handmade craft, the warmth of human touch in every creation. This could never be something made at scale. It had to be created through hands, time, and people who still believed in slow craft.

This meant finding not just a manufacturer, a creator who shared her belief, a company that felt less like a business partner and more like family. It was de facto Asia — a company she had known for many years, not only professionally but personally — a place bound by friendship, trust, and a shared sense of humanity. In an era of relentless automation, de facto Asia remained a stubborn guardian of the Handmade.  They believe in the power of the human touch -the slight imperfections that make a piece unique, the energy transferred from a craftsman's hands into the metal, and the slow, meditative process of creation, a philosophy of making that mirrored the philosophy of yoga-intentional, present, and profoundly human.

Together, they birthed Touch of Yoga in 2013

The brand became a vessel for authenticity-honoring the REAL materials, the genuine connections. We know it isn't easy. We are a small, independent jeweler in an ocean of mass produced goods and marketing illusions. In an industry where materials are often obscured and costs cut, we choose the slower path because some things lose their meaning when made too quickly. We choose the human touch. We may be a small ripple, but we believe in the power of ripples.

More than jewelry: A companion for your path

From a single point of personal healing grew a vision far greater. Touch of Yoga is more than a brand; it is an offering. Each piece is jewelry that isn't just worn-but felt. It is where intention meets craft.

Amid global conflicts, societal divides, and the quiet epidemic of loneliness, our jewelry serves as a gentle reminder: A reminder to pause. To breathe. To return to what matters within and with others. Since ancient times, jewelry has served as a close companion, a keeper of stories and intentions. Our pieces are designed for this sacred role: to radiate your inner calm to the world, to be a real touchstone you can carry, a silent ally on your journey back to yourself.

"What if we slowed down enough to feel again to touch the essence of who we are, and let that union ripple outward, healing not just ourselves, but the world around us?"
